Please note this is a KNITTING PATTERN ONLY with an easy skill level. You will not receive a finished hat. You will receive a downloadable PDF file (in English) that provides some written instructions and a chart for the main body of the hat so you can knit one yourself for an average adult head.

Little strings of hearts dance across the body of this design to create a sense of whimsy and magic. I used only three colors for this pattern, but you could totally knit up a scrappy version with a black background, for example, and then use two different colors for each of the heartstrings! This is a design that will keep enticing you to knit it again to see what color combo you’ll come up with next.

Materials Needed:

Worsted/size 4 yarn in three contrasting colors

US 6 (4 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needles, or size needed to meet gauge

US 8 (5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needles, or size needed to meet gauge

US 8 (5 mm) double-pointed needles (dpns) or US 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needles with a longer cord for Magic Loop method, or size needed to meet gauge

Scissors

Stitch marker

Tapestry needle

Feel free to sell finished hats in small quantities that are made using this pattern, but please give credit to flynnknit for the design. Please do not share, distribute or sell any part of the pattern itself. Please tag @flynnknit and use #heartstrings and #flynnknit on social media with any photos of your work created with this pattern. I’d love to see your progress photos and finished hats! I appreciate your support sooooo much!
